Freddy’s go for the doctor..

Here at The In Sound central, we were heart – warmed, nay uplifted, to hear how well the Fat Freddy’s Drop new album Dr Boondigga & The Big BW had done upon it’s release last week. Fans in their droves stepped out to buy the band’s second studio album, the much anticipated follow up to Based On A True Story. No massive marketing spend, no mainstream radio play, just grass roots support for a quality band. Hurrah!

I have to say their debut didn’t excite me as much of the hundreds of thousands of people who bought it, but Dr Boondigga is another proposition altogether. Somehow, more soulful , it’s a real pleasure to listen to.
