Spoon – Written In Reverse

Spoon’s video for Written In Reverse (from the new album Transference) is doing my head in… are they playing in a studio fitted out with mirrors a la Arcade Fire photo shoots or is it simply cinematic trickery??

The video was directed by the amazing Danny Clinch, who is usually makes a crust as a music photographer, shooting the likes of Johnny Cash, Springsteen, Tupac, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, and Björk. Occasionally though, he dabbles in film-making, and by the result below, he should keep it up!
