ANIKA MOA TEAMS UP WITH WOMEN’S REFUGE IN SUPPORT OF THEIR ANNUAL APPEAL JULY 19-25
WE’RE GIVING ONE LUCKY WINNER THE CHANCE TO WIN AN ‘ANIKA MOA LIFE PASS’
To help raise awareness of this extremely worthwhile campaign, one of New Zealand’s most successful artists, Anika Moa has come on board to join the fight against abuse of women and children in NZ. From July 19th an auction will be active on Trade Me where the highest bidder will win an amazing prize pack. Not only this, the winning bid will be donated directly to Women’s Refuge. The prize pack will be something to remember for life.
Anika says “I chose Women’s Refuge to be the recipient of the auction because I believe in growing up in a kind, loving and stable home. Violence, abuse, threats, taunts, anger and hate are not things women or children should have to put up with! I have been in situations where violence was the main form of learning. It taught me to solve my problems with anger but I have grown to understand you don’t need to be angry towards others. You need to listen, talk things through and accept what is, move on and make changes in your life. Be strong, learn from our mistakes.”
Anika Moa Life Pass will include:
- 2 tickets to any Anika Moa (headlining) show for the rest of her career!
- A Takamine acoustic guitar from The Rockshop signed by Anika Moa
- A copy of every Anika Moa album – released and future releases
- An ‘Anika Moa – Love In Motion’ poster
- Anika Moa merchandise including a tea towel, kete, tote bag, and t shirt

O.M.G how awesome are you Anika!! what a great campaign to support!! & the bonus prize WOW!! I wish I wasn't a poor ass student!! I be bidding to the end on the 19th.. hard!! I also have a campaign if your interested in donating too, it's the Arthritis Foundation.. I am on the donor letter with my story with my gorgeous Mum, if you feel like it, that would be choiceas!! Two foundations that are very dear to my heart, I am the youngest of 13 Bro's & Sista's, we had a great upbringing, didn't have a lot but we never went without, credit to my Mum. unfortunatly we have 10 living & have lost quite a few Nephews & Neice's plus Dad as well so I feel with my retraining @ Tairawhiti Polytech in Social Sciences I will & do! have heaps to offer children, so I congratulate you on this quest and wish you much luck with it..
